Observed signal
Aggregate indicators often show deterioration after changes have already occurred in price, mix, capacity, timing or commercial discipline.
Interpretation
A signal does not prove a cause. It must be tested against disaggregated data, process changes, recent decisions and actual execution capacity.
Executive questions
- What changed before the indicator?
- What alternative explanation exists?
- Which decision is reversible and which is not?
- What evidence is missing before action?
